Five Day Analysis

Throughout analysing the TV drama Five days, we were put in to groups so that we could concerntrate on a specific area. The area in which my group were given was:
Verbal Language
Voice off screen of the captin on the aeroplane - formal

Conversation on the telephone of a woman - again very formal like she is talking to someone professional. However when she gets off the phone she becomes slightly less formal as she is talking to on of her work collegues.

There is another woman who is very business minded person who again is having a conversation on a phone but from what she is saying it could be seen as though it is a relative who on the other side.

The woman who is talking to her mother seems to be  the main character within the whole programe. Speaks in a very common/informal voice.

We notice that they all speak with a London Accent showing you where they are from. The dialogue is linked to cutting between different scenes to make it more interesting to the viewers. For example, When the woman in the house scene asks her mother for the time and it cuts to the first woman on the phone who then answers the question which was asked previously.

By doing this, it is introducing each of the characters individually and their personalities.
